All the celebrity prattle that you NEVER wanted to read about... From the "WE COULD SEE THIS COMING A MILE AWAY" File... Kat Von D: Jesse James cheated on me with 19 women Jesse James sure sounds like he has had a lot of time on his hands. That's if you believe the motorcycle enthusiast's ex, Kat Von D, who says she recently found out about number 19. "Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year," Von D wrote in a Facebook blog post on Sunday. "I know I deserve a big fat 'I told you so,' from everyone, and wish I didn't have to say, 'You all were more right than you'll ever know' but you were," the 29-year-old tattoo artist added. It's hard not to think about the cliché, "Once a cheater, always a cheater," in this case but if the claims are true, then James certainly fits the bill. James, 42, previously admitted that he had "poor judgment" in response to allegations he cheated on his now-ex-wife Sandra Bullock. At the time, he was accused of having an affair with another tattoo model, Michelle "Bombshell" McGee. Since his split from Bullock in 2010, James has been on and off (and on and off again and again) with Von D. They got engaged earlier this year, called it off and then got back together only to break up again in September. "I kept going back and forth in my mind as to what the best way would be for me to release and let go of any residual feelings remaining from that toxic relationship," wrote Von D. In the end, Von D thanked James for helping teach her a valuable lesson, "Time is something you can never get back, and what we do with this very present moment is the most real thing we have," she wrote. "So if that's the lesson Jesse forced me to face and learn by all of this, than all I can say is Thank You."

Not idle gossip, or frivolous, but it involves my favorite actress so I submit this story here: LA Sheriff Reopens Natalie Wood Case After reviewing the death of famed actress Natalie Wood Wagner in 1981, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department ruled it accidental. Now authorities are reopening the case, according to an announcement from the department issued late Thursday afternoon. "Recently Sheriff's Homicide Investigators were contacted by persons who stated they had additional information about the Natalie Wood Wagner drowning," according to the LASD. "Due to the additional information, Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau has decided to take another look at the case," wrote the department. The actress drowned on Nov. 29, 1981, while boating off Catalina Island with her husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that homicide detectives want to talk to the captain of the boat because of comments he had made recounting the case on its 30th anniversary. Sheriff Lee Baca told the Times the captain made comments "worthy of exploring” but did not elaborate. Late Thursday, Robert Wagner released a statement through his publicist. "Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the LA County Sheriff’s department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the LA County Sheriff’s Dept. and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid, and that it comes from a credible source or sources other than those simply trying to profit from the 30-year anniversary of her tragic death," the statement said. Wood appeared in more than 56 movies and was nominated for three Academy Awards, according to the Official Natalie Wood website. Born Natalia Zakharenko in San Francisco, Wood became a child star at age 4 after playing the role of Susan Walker in “Miracle on 34th Street.” Among the other classic films she went on to star in were "West Side Story" and “Rebel Without a Cause.” Riadas Retort:

Official says Wagner not a suspect in Wood death LOS ANGELES, Fri Nov 18, 02:10 PM A Los Angeles County sheriff's detective says Robert Wagner is not a suspect in the 1981 death of his wife, actress Natalie Wood. Lt. John Corina has told a press conference Friday that new information is substantial enough to take another look at the case. Wood's body was found floating off Santa Catalina Island as the couple were on a boating excursion. The death was ruled an accidental drowning. Corina was asked if Wagner is a suspect and the detective said no. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below. A yacht captain said on national TV Friday that he lied to investigators about Natalie Wood's mysterious death 30 years ago and blames the actress' husband at the time, Robert Wagner, for her drowning in the ocean off Southern California. The circumstances of her death remain one of Hollywood's enduring mysteries and continue to create renewed intrigue, with homicide detectives on Thursday unexpectedly re-opening the case that had long been classified as a tragic accident. A Los Angeles County sheriff's detective will speak to reporters Friday about the decision to take another look at the Oscar-nominated actress' nighttime demise in the chilly waters off Southern California on Nov. 29, 1981. Wood drowned after spending several hours drinking on Catalina Island in a yacht with Wagner, fellow actor Christopher Walken and the ship's captain, Dennis Davern. Davern, skipper of the Splendour, told NBC's "Today" show on Friday that he made mistakes by not telling the truth about events leading to the Thanksgiving weekend death and had urged Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide investigators to reopen the case. It is the latest attempt by Davern to change the official account of what happened in the hours before Wood's death. "Was the fight between Natalie Wood and her husband Robert Wagner what ultimately led to her death?" show host David Gregory asked. "Yes," Davern replied. "How so?" "Like I said, that's going to be up to the investigators to decide," the captain said after a long pause. Davern said he believes Wagner had intentionally kept the investigation into Wood's death low profile and didn't do everything he could have done. When Gregory pressed Davern for supporting details, the captain said that was the duty of investigators. Davern has said for years that the official account of Wood's disappearance was not what really happened, including in a 1992 appearance on a Geraldo Rivera special and in a 2000 Vanity Fair piece. He also worked with author and friend Marti Rulli on "Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour," a book released last year.

Cont... Wagner spokesman Alan Nierob said Friday a statement he released Thursday spoke for itself. "Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the LA County Sheriff's department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the LA County Sheriff's Dept. and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid, and that it comes from a credible source or sources other than those simply trying to profit from the 30 year anniversary of her tragic death," Nierob wrote in the statement. Davern denied he was motivated to speak out for profit. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Thursday the renewed inquiry was prompted by unspecified new information about Woods' case. The Los Angeles Times reported that Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca said detectives want to talk to Davern and that he had "made comments worthy of exploring." The paper said the agency had also received information from an unidentified third party. In the Vanity Fair story, Davern is quoted as saying that Wood and Wagner fought in their cabin before the actress disappeared. Coroner's officials ruled her death an accidental drowning, perhaps caused by her slipping off the boat while trying to tie down a dinghy. She was found wearing a flannel nightgown, socks and a red down jacket and Davern identified her body for authorities, according to an autopsy report. Her body had superficial bruises, according to the report, but those were considered consistent with drowning. Her death sparked tabloid speculation that foul play was involved, but Wagner and Wood's sister have dismissed any suggestion the actress' death was anything more than an accident. Coroner's officials at the time agreed, writing that Wood was "possibly attempting to board the dinghy and had fallen into the water, striking her face." Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said the agency hadn't been asked to do any additional investigation into Wood's case. Sheriff's officials are also hoping for tips from the public that may shed new light on how Wood, who was afraid of being in the water, ended up drowning. Wood, a three-time Oscar nominee famous for roles in "West Side Story," `'Rebel Without a Cause" and other Hollywood hits, was 43 when she died. She and Wagner were twice married, first in 1957 before divorcing six years later. They remarried in 1972. Lana Wood wrote in a biography on her sister, "What happened is that Natalie drank too much that night." Wagner, star of the television series "Hart to Hart," wrote in a 2008 autobiography that he blamed himself for his wife's death. He recounted the night of Wood's disappearance, during which the couple and Walken drank at a restaurant and on the boat. Wood went to the master cabin during an argument between her husband and Walken. The last time Wagner saw his wife, she was fixing her hair at a bathroom vanity and she shut the door. Wagner wrote that despite various theories about what led Wood to the water, which she feared, it was impossible to know what exactly happened. "Nobody knows," he wrote. "There are only two possibilities; either she was trying to get away from the argument, or she was trying to tie the dinghy. But the bottom line is that nobody knows exactly what happened." Later in the book, Wagner wrote, "Did I blame myself? If I had been there, I could have done something. But I wasn't there. I didn't see her." He wrote that he never saw his wife after she died and has never returned to Catalina Island. Phone and email messages to Walken's publicist were not returned Thursday. Walken and Wood were co-stars in "Brainstorm," which was the actress' final big screen role.

Vets upset with 'Hawaii Five-O' crew at cemetery HONOLULU A group of Pearl Harbor survivors say they were disrespected by the crew of the CBS drama "Hawaii Five-O" during a visit to Honolulu's National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The Denver-based Greatest Generations Foundation took 23 veterans to the Punchbowl cemetery last week to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The veterans found it offensive that the crew members didn't stop production while the national anthem and taps were played and that they were walking on graves, said Steffan Tubbs, a foundation board member and co-host of KOA-AM's morning news show in Denver. Tubbs visited the cemetery with the group, which conducted a small ceremony there. The crew was filming a scene involving a lead character visiting his father's grave, "which in reality was surrounded by the real graves of WWII heroes," Tubbs said Tuesday. "It didn't seem right." Cemetery Director Gene Castagnetti said the filming was approved beforehand. He added walking on graves is unavoidable and not considered disrespectful if done carefully. It came as a surprise that the veterans would be laying roses during their ceremony, taking them to locations in the cemetery where the crew was filming, Castagnetti told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. While payment is not required for filming at the cemetery, "Hawaii Five-O" donated $1,000, KHON-TV reported. The show has filmed there several times previously. "We were surprised to hear this report and are looking into the matter," CBS said in a statement. "Our veterans deserve the highest level of respect and reverence for their service, particularly during a ceremony honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice." The show's executive producer Peter Lenkov apologized in a statement Tuesday, saying that the crew is made up of mostly locals, many with military ties, and that the series "carries a demonstrative pro-military message." "On behalf of the Hawaii Five-O production unit, we'd like to apologize to any veterans and members of the Greatest Generation Foundation whom we unintentionally offended when our events coincided," he said. "Contrary to some reports, to show respect, our crew did cease production for the playing of the national anthem, taps and for the remainder of the ceremony." Any rudeness can be "attributed to haste to finish our work," the statement said. "Hawaii Five-O" stars Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan. It regularly airs on Mondays. The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is the resting place for some 34,000 veterans of World War I, World War II and the wars in Korea and Vietnam. Located in Punchbowl Crater just north of downtown Honolulu, it is a top tourist destination in Hawaii. Riadas Retort: JACK LORD NEVER WOULD HAVE DISRESPECTED A VETS GRAVE, LET ME TELL YOU...

THIS ISNT IDLE GOSSIP, BUT IT DOES CONCERN A CELEBRITY... Doctor: Blues singer Etta James terminally ill RIVERSIDE, Calif., Fri Dec 16, 03:01 PM "At Last" and "Tell Mama" blues singer Etta James, whose health has been fading in recent years, is now terminally ill, and her live-in doctor is asking for prayers. Dr. Elaine James, who isn't related to the 73-year-old entertainer, tells the Riverside Press-Enterprise ( http://bit.ly/tVMtaN) that the singer's chronic leukemia was declared incurable two weeks ago. The doctor has cared for Etta James at the singer's Riverside, Calif., area home since March 2010. Elaine James says she's spreading word of the singer's ailments so people will pray for her. She says fans know Etta James has been sick "but not how sick." Court records in the singer's probate case show she also suffers from dementia and kidney failure. Elaine James made her comments outside a Riverside conservatorship hearing over the singer's $1 million estate. The singer's son, Donto James, wants a conservator rather than the singer's husband, Artis Mills.

Liverpool building that saw Beatles sign first deal to be demolished THE building where the Beatles signed a contract dubbed “the most important in music history” is to be demolished. Their manager Brian Epstein’s former offices on Whitechapel in the city centre will be cleared to make way for a clothing store. A £25m project to build a flagship store for budget retailer Forever 21, nicknamed the ‘American Primark’, is due to begin in January. Disappearing will be the offices in which the Beatles struck a five-year management contract that would ultimately pave the way for their world domination. On January 24, 1962, John Winston Lennon, George Harrison, James Paul McCartney and Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) all put their names to paper on a deal that would guarantee them just a farthing each for every record sold. Epstein, who ran the NEMS record store in Whitechapel, drew up the contract having been blown away by the band’s performances at the Cavern. He saw potential after watching queues for their iconic lunchtime gigs snake past his office window. But Epstein vowed not to ink his name until he had secured a record deal for the group, which he achieved eight months later. The contract sold at auction in 2008 for £240,000 and was listed as the “most important contract in music history”. Fab Four expert Stephen Bailey, who runs the Beatles Shop on Mathew Street, said: “It’s sad. NEMS was where Brian Epstein became the driving force of the Beatles and set them on their way to stardom. “He was the one who took them from being a scruffy bunch of herberts and put them together as the complete package. “I hope that the new owners do the right thing and put a plaque on the building so what happened there can be remembered. It’s sad to see it go.” The office is now the base of city solicitor Rex Makin. His son, Robin, confirmed that they were leaving the building at the end of this week to reopen nearby in January at the former home of Rushworth’s music store.

Sub File: We Could See This Coming A Mile Away Sinead O'Connor, Barry Herridge: It's Over Already Sinead O'Connor has split from her new husband, ending her marriage only 18 days after she and Barry Herridge tied the knot in Las Vegas last month. O'Connor took to her website Monday to announce the split writing, "He is a wonderful man. I love him very much. I'm sorry I'm not a more regular woman. I truly believe though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married, for altruistic reasons, and weren't aware or prepared for the consequences on my husband's life and the lives of those close to him. He has been terribly unhappy and I have therefore ended the marriage. I think he is too nice to do so. And too nice to trap." O'Connor goes on to say that the marriage was practically doomed from the beginning. She explains, "Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband's life." She faults herself as well, saying, "And also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink." This wedding night confession continues, as does O'Connor's finger pointing. She calls out the people in her soon-to-be ex-husband's life who may not enjoy the singer's lifestyle. "I saw his life leave him because of how people close to him reacted. And I can't take anyone's life. And a woman wants to be a joy to her husband. So.. U love someone? Set them free." In the December 8th ceremony at the famous Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, she and Herridge said their "I Do's" in a pink Cadillac at the drive thru window. Sadly, the marriage lasted only 18 days, but as she writes in her note to fans on her website, at least she "Got married in Vegas in a pink Cadillac! Can't get more Rock n Roll than that." O'Connor reemerged over the summer with blunt bangs and dark locks, but returned to her signature shaved head, back in October. Ending her post about the split, O'Connor promises to continue being herself, writing, "Meanwhile I intend to get on with being fully me. With never an apology for ANY part if being FULLY ME." And as if THAT wasnt enough... After announcing her split from husband of 18 days, Barry Herridge, on Monday, Sinead O'Connor isn't doing herself any favors when it comes to staying out of the headlines. The singer came to the door of her Ireland home yesterday to speak to journalists about her short-lived marriage -- only problem is, she forgot to put on clothes! O'Connor answered the door sporting nothing other than her signature tattoos and a towel. O'Connor said "I do" to Herridge in Las Vegas last month, just over two weeks before she put the kabbash on what was her fourth marriage.

Sub File: We Could See This Coming A Mile Away... APNewsBreak: Russell Brand, Katy Perry to divorce LOS ANGELES, Fri Dec 30, 06:35 PM British actor-comedian Russell Brand is divorcing "California Gurls" songstress Katy Perry after 14 months of what had appeared to be one of Hollywood's happier marriages. "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand said in a statement to The Associated Press on Friday. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends." Brand, 36, offered no other details, but in papers filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, he cited irreconcilable differences. He and the 27-year-old pop singer were married in October 2010 at a resort inside a tiger reserve in India, and their mutual affection had become a rather sweet feature of the celebrity circuit. The couple announced their engagement in January 2010 after meeting at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where Brand hosted and she performed. The comedian, who once struggled with substance abuse and sex addiction, was effusive about his bride while promoting projects earlier this year, saying marrying Perry has "given me much more strength in what I do." "For a long while, what I do professionally was all that mattered to me really," he said in March. "Now I think, well, whatever I do, I'll just go back to her, and that's incredibly comforting." Perry praised her husband backstage at the 2011 VMAs in August, where she won three awards and he offered a tribute to Amy Winehouse. "I'm proud of him, whatever comes out of his mouth, and sometimes it's very colorful, right?" Perry said of Brand. "That's why I married him, because he's smart and I learn a lot." Attorneys for Perry, whose name is listed as Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson in the divorce papers, did not respond Friday to calls seeking comment. The Internet had been abuzz recently with rumors about possible trouble for the couple after they were seen during the holidays without their wedding rings. Perry's run of No. 1 singles earned her the distinction of becoming MTV's first artist of the year earlier this month. She hosted "Saturday Night Live" on Dec. 10 and gave no indication any marital woes. Brand's recent film credits include "Arthur," "Hop" and "Get Him to the Greek." He is among the ensemble starring alongside Tom Cruise in "Rock of Ages," set for release next year. Both Brand and Perry were absent Friday from Twitter, where they often shared kind words for each other.

NY lawsuit: Foundation's banana use is unappealing NEW YORK, Wed Jan 11, 06:01 PM Legendary rock band The Velvet Underground sued the Andy Warhol Foundation on Wednesday, saying the banana design created by Warhol and used by group on its first album cover in 1967 should not be used by or sold for use by others. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan claimed the foundation slipped up when it licensed the design for use on iPhone and iPad products and has ignored repeated requests to stop licensing the banana image. The lawsuit cited the success of the group's first record, saying it became known as "The Banana Album" because of the design and it has since become a symbol of The Velvet Underground. It asked a judge to declare that the foundation has no copyrights in the design because it is in the public domain and that the band be awarded any profits the foundation has received. A message for comment left with the foundation was not returned. According to the lawsuit, Warhol played a role in the making of "The Velvet Underground and Nico" album, suggesting that Christa Paffgen, professionally known as Nico, sing three of the songs. And it said the band shared its $3,000 royalty advance for the album with Warhol in exchange for his furnishing of the banana illustration for the record cover. "The Banana design became a symbol, truly an icon, of The Velvet Underground," the lawsuit said. The Velvet Underground decided to bring the lawsuit after learning last year that the Warhol Foundation has agreed to let Warhol's banana design be used in a new series of iPhone and iPad cases, sleeves and bags.

That last pic...it sure is "Fugly!" *CHORTLE!* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gervais brings sharp tongue as host of Globes NEW YORK, Sun Jan 15, 10:40 PM Three time's the charm - if that's not the wrong word for Ricky Gervais' third year as scathing steward of the Golden Globes. Or maybe the word is "f-word" - which Gervais blurted out, and which was bleeped, as he introduced presenters Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek late in the show Sunday night. "They're ridiculously gorgeous specimens, they're extremely talented and probably very interesting," Gervais declared. "I'm not sure," he went on, as censors instantly bleeped out the rest of his wisecrack, which declared, "I couldn't understand a (expletive) word they said." Later, when he came back on stage with wine glass in hand, he said it was great having a job that allowed you to get drunk and say whatever you wished and still get paid. Gervais' monologue didn't shock quite the way it did last year, but it had its share of barbs. "Nervous? Don't be," he grinned at the room-full of glitterati at the top of the show, aired by NBC on Sunday. "Tonight you get Britain's biggest comedian, hosting the world's second-biggest awards show on America's third-biggest network." He corrected himself: "It's fourth." "The Golden Globes are to the Oscars," he went on, "what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton - a bit louder, a bit trashier, a bit drunker and more easily bought - allegedly." After last year's shindig, when Gervais insulted nearly everyone in sight, an invitation back for the British wag seemed doubtful. But the Globes loves to court outrageous behavior. That meant another turn for Gervais as host. He explained he had been warned by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that were he to insult anyone on hand, or "offend any viewers, or cause any controversy whatsoever - they'll definitely invite me back next year as well." Then Gervais went on to praise a nominated HBO series, "Boardwalk Empire." "I love that show," he said. "It's about a load of immigrants who came to America about a hundred years ago, and they got involved in bribery and corruption and worked their way up into high society. But enough about the Hollywood Foreign Press." As the evening progressed, only Madonna dared to challenge Gervais. Introducing her as an awards presenter, he described Madonna as "just like a virgin," then erupted with a theatrical cough. Madonna fired back, "If I'm still just like a virgin, Ricky, then why don't you come over here and do something about it?" She paused. "I haven't kissed a girl in a few years - on TV." A camera caught Gervais comedically dashing off stage.

(CBS) Whippets are in the spotlight now that actress Demi Moore was reportedly hospitalized after using the whipped cream chargers filled with nitrous oxide. TMZ reported one of Moore's friends told emergency workers she been doing "whip-its," after which she experienced seizure-like symptoms and lapsed into semi-consciousness, according to CBS News. What exactly are whippets? Also known as "whip-its," "whippits," and "nossies," they are steel cylinders filled with nitrous oxide, or "NOX," which is often used in dentists' offices before novocaine injections or dental procedures. According to Dr. Harris Stratyner, regional vice president at Caron Treatment Center in New York, inhaling nitrous oxide causes people to experience a euphoric, dissociated, out-of-body state. "That's why they call it laughing gas," Stratyner told HealthPop. Nitrous oxide is also found in whipped cream aerosol cans and in similar canisters that are sometimes abused. Nitrous abusers sometimes take the canister, empty the gas into a balloon and inhale it. Nitrous oxide is also used in race cars to boost engine power. "So, you know, it's a dangerous substance," Stratyner said. Inhaling nitrous oxide may cause the user to pass out from lack of oxygen, and may be fatal. "If you use a lot of it, you're not going to wake up," Stratyner says. He says there is evidence that abusing nitrous oxide causes "dark holes" in the brain, in areas that have been deprived of oxygen and brain cells have been destroyed. Dr. Robert Glatter, an emergency medicine physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, told HealthPop that when nitrous oxide is given to patients in a therapeutic setting, doctors often give oxygen with it because the gas displaces oxygen and causes the body's carbon dioxide levels to rise. "That's the danger," Glatter said, because high levels of carbon dioxide cause shortness of breath and can cause sleepiness, causing a person to lose consciousness. Glatter also said abusing whippets can lead to nausea, vomiting, disorientation, vitamin B-12 deficiency - which causes numbness in the toes and fingers - or in some severe cases, lung collapses, blood vessel hemorrhages in the lungs, heart attacks, seizures and coma. Glatter said he "occasionally" sees people come to the emergency department after inhaling whippets, but mostly in teens and less frequent in recent years. Are whippets addictive? Stratyner, who has no involvement in Moore's case, said the gas can be psychologically addictive, but it's "not highly usual" that people would go to rehab for it. According to Stratyner, nitrous oxide is often not a drug of choice for many people, but rather one of many drugs they use. "If they're doing nitrous, they're probably doing other things," he said.

Hahahahahaha, I used to do whippets with my Grateful Deadhead friends back in the late 80's. It was fun but short-lasting and a little expensive. I haven't done them in decades but it's funny reading about Demi Moore doing them at age 49. Some folks grow up, some don't, I guess.
