Non-UE Photography

Hey, most of us take photos, and not always of the local abandoned buildings!
Here's a thread (which would be great "Stickied") of photos of people, places, and things NOT related to abandoned stuff.
C'mon everyone, join in! Whether it's a photo of a family member, a loved one, a drunken buddy, a nice car, beautiful scenery, WHATEVER!
If you like it, post it on up!
I'll start it off with a smallish selection of photos from my vacation on Hatteras Island, of the coast off North Carolina.
Here are some photos I took while on vacation on the long, thin strip of islands off the coast of North Carolina known as the Outer Banks. The hotel I stayed in was made of wood and built on fifteen-foot high stilts. From the edge of my balcony it was about 70 yards from the ocean's edge. The island itself was also only about a city-block wide and it was a short five minute walk from the ocean to the sound. During hurricanes, the ocean frequently washes over the strip into the sound. Great fun if you vacation during a bad week in the season!

Now THAT'S a lotta snow! 
Thanks for the kind words guys! I don't use a tripod or anything and usually use one of the presets on the point 'n' shoot. I just see something that looks cool, take a deep breath, and click during the slow exhale. That's it! It must be the camera...

That is INDEED a happy place!
Mine is the vacation spot I posted above.
Hatteras Island, off the coast of North Carolina, is my new home if I ever hit the lottery.
