Is this the place that MTV used to film that episode of Fear? The pictures look like a dead on match, but I searched everywhere on the site and saw no mention of it.

Thanks for the response. Do you happen to remember a show a few years back that followed a bunch of teenagers while they stayed overnight in an abandoned asylum? One part of the show that stands out to me is a body tray in the morgue sliding out on its own and everyone running. Any help?

actually i do. the show was called "worlds scariest places" and the hospital was waverly hills sanatorium in louisville kentucky. waverly hills has an interesting story ... it was closed in the early 80's and being prepared for demolition, but some guy bought it to save it. he paid some ridiculous amount for it, like $125,000 or something. can you believe that? $125,000. you can't buy a shack in jersey for that. by comparison, just a little over half of the property (with no buildings) the essex sanatorium stood on sold for 60 million. there's an excellent site on the waverly sanatorium that was made by one of its security guards. the great thing about waverly is that the guards are all really cool. if you ask them, they'll give you a tour. here's the link waverly hills sanatorium
